From community contribution to reusable infrastructure
1) Contribute
Submit assets or platform improvements via GitHub issues/PRs (schemas, validators, benchmarks, docs).
2) Validate
Automated checks enforce schema completeness, link integrity, and benchmark metadata consistency.
3) Integrate & release
Approved contributions land in versioned catalogs and power discoverability, reuse, and downstream tools.
What is OpenConstruction Open-Science Initiative?
Support the collaborative development, validation, and dissemination of AI-ready knowledge assets for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) domain.
- Open-source platform code and deployment infrastructure
- Versioned metadata schemas and validation rules
- Community-governed contribution and review workflows
- APIs and benchmarks enabling downstream tools and research
Our Mission
We foster an open-science ecosystem for AEC by:
- Maintaining an open catalog of AEC AI datasets, models, workflows, and OERs with standardized metadata.
- Supporting research, education, and deployment by linking resources to benchmarks and real-world use cases.
- Enabling community stewardship through shared curation, review, and long-term maintenance of resources.
- Advancing distributed platform development via open governance, public roadmaps, and CI/CD-backed contributions.
Join the Community
Open science thrives when diverse voices collaborate and work together. Here are a few ways to contribute:
- Platform contributors: Improve schemas, validation tools, UI components, and APIs.
- Asset maintainers: Maintain dataset, model, and workflow entries over time.
- Benchmark developers: Contribute evaluation tasks and performance metrics.
- Governance participants: Help shape roadmap priorities and review standards.
